Brighton Fashion Week

Okay so I am slightly slow on blogging about this but I am getting round to everything.  Having suffered mobile phone burnout after calling in products for a magazine shoot I am slowly getting back to my own life..

So I went to the Couture Show at Brighton Fashion Week with the lovely Kathy although I did spring it on her a few hours before departure time.  So we set out on the journey to Brighton for my first time..not Kathys...and made our way around the hills and vales of Brighton Town to get to the Pavillion.

I was debating whether to dress casual or glam but considering the journey I had to make there and back..casual was the way to go..Especially as i had to leg it to find a bus after the show to get to the station for the last train..Drama. Just check out the amazing turrets on the Pavillion building.

Dress - Primark £10
Boots - Random Notting Hill shop
Leggings - Monsoon Fusion - £35
Bag - H&M

So out came the collections which were a myriad of styles, textures, feathers, fake lips (loved it) and prints..some I loved and would wear but as with every couture show, some were just outrageous.  I got a good view though from my front row seat so look out for the official write up in Proper Serious Magazine soon....Here is a sneak..

Also bumped into the lovely Stephanie Starlett and her friend Charmaine.  Stephanie had presented the 'Trashion' by Jez Eaton show the night before which I unfortunately missed.  Seeing as Stephanie is such a popular girl so she got us in ahead of the crowds.

I just got my images back from a shoot with gorgeous models.. Betsie D, Margarita and Anni. The lingerie themed portfolio shoot was shot on a rooftop in Central London on a very cold day..so glad I am not a model.

'Create by Jason Wu' Cameras

Okay so I have been slacking on the blogging front.  Someone said I need to get back into it full swing so here goes.
This week I attended the launch for 'Create by Jason Wu' for GE Digital Cameras. the launch took place at the fabulous Blakes Hotel in Chelsea. Jason Wu is a doll designer turned fashion designer most recently famed for designing the dress that Michelle Obama wore to the Presidential Inaugural Ball. The dress was a one of a kind, silk chiffon dress decorated with organza rosettes, Swarovski crystals and silver embroidery.

Jason Wu is also famed for designing the fabulous RuPaul Doll..altogether now..Cover Girl!!

So he has now turned his hand to designing cameras.  Wu has used his original design asthetic of luxury fabrics and detailing and brought it to this gorgeous camera with its cute added extras, making it a must have fashion piece as well as a practical camera for the girl on the go.

The camera has a leather body and comes with a luxurious case, neck strap and wrist strap. The camera also boasts an internal memory capable of storing over 1,000 images, which means photos do not need to be deleted once downloaded; they can stay on the camera and, using the easy menu system, recalled quickly for showing to friends. The 'Create by Jason Wu' camera plugs straight into a laptop or PC with a retractable USB and has its own software so photos are downloaded instantly and automatically with no fuss- whilst the camera recharges all by itself!

It is available from all good camera retailers from this month.
